Editor Agreement

This is the agreement between you and UGC Flows for editing work you take through the marketplace. You accept it when you create your editor account, and you cannot claim a job or request a payout without having accepted the current version.

You are an independent contractor. You are not our employee, agent or partner. You choose which jobs to claim and when to work. We do not provide equipment, software or training, and we do not withhold tax. You are responsible for your own taxes, insurance and any registration your country requires.

You must be 18 or older, able to work legally where you live, and the person actually doing the editing. Do not hand your account or your jobs to somebody else.

Every job shows the amount you will receive if it is approved. That number is yours in full, and it is the same number the creator paid: we take no platform fee off editing work. Nothing is taken from your number.

The rate is fixed when you claim. Nothing you or the creator do afterwards changes it. There is no negotiation on the platform.

Every job on the board is already paid for by the creator before you see it. You will never edit an unfunded job.

Claiming is a commitment. When you claim a job you agree to submit every deliverable in the brief within 24 hours, measured on our clock from the moment of the claim. Until your first job is approved you can hold one claim at a time.

You can release a claim in the first two hours at no cost. After that a release counts as a strike.

If you need more time, ask for an extension before the deadline, from inside the job. A founder decides. Without an approved extension, a claim that reaches its deadline with nothing submitted expires: the job goes back on the board, no earnings are created, and you receive a strike.

Work submitted late may still be accepted at our discretion. If the creator ends up using it, you are paid for it. If the job had already gone to another editor, you are not.

You cannot claim a new job while you have an overdue one.

Submit through the job page, nothing else. Delivery anywhere else does not count and is not paid.

Every job includes one round of revisions for things the brief asked for that the cut did not deliver. Do that round at no extra pay. A change of direction after delivery is a new job and is paid as one.

Earnings are created when the creator approves, or when a cut sits delivered for 48 hours with no answer. Once approved, the amount shown at claim time becomes an earning on your ledger and does not change.

If a creator rejects a cut you believe met the brief, say so in the job and we will look. Our decision on that job is final.

A strike is our record that something went wrong that was your responsibility. You receive one for: a missed deadline without an approved extension, abandoning a claimed job, submitting incomplete or unusable files more than once, submitting work that is not yours, or repeated complaints from creators about the same problems.

Strikes count for 90 days. The first is a warning. The second in 90 days pauses claiming for seven days. The third in 90 days pauses your account until a founder has reviewed it, and that review can end in removal.

A strike is not given for a creator's taste. If a cut met the brief and they wanted something else, that is a revision or a new job, not a strike.

A founder can waive a strike for a documented emergency or a platform failure, and can also suspend or remove an account outside the strike count for serious misconduct: fraud, stolen work, abuse of a creator, or taking work off platform. We can end this agreement at any time. So can you, by closing your account.

We can hold an earning rather than pay it out when a job is under dispute, when an account is under review for repeated missed deadlines or complaints, when we suspect fraud, or when we have reason to believe the work was not done by you. A held earning is shown as held on your ledger with the reason.

A hold is released when the question is settled. If the review finds the work was not delivered as agreed, the earning can be cancelled. Earnings for approved work that has no such problem are never cancelled.

If your account is removed, earnings that are not held or cancelled are still paid to you on your next request.

Payouts are requested by you from the payouts page and sent by us to the method you confirmed: PayPal, Wise, or another method we have agreed to. We review each request and send it by hand while automatic payouts are not yet switched on. You will be told when it is sent, and the reference is recorded on your ledger.

The minimum request is $10 unless the page says otherwise. One request can be open at a time. The amount is your available balance as we compute it. You cannot request a different amount.

You are responsible for the payout details being correct. A change to them takes 24 hours to become payable, and we will tell you by email when they change. Money sent to details you confirmed is sent.

We may ask for tax forms or identity documents before paying out, and we may report what we pay you where the law requires.

Everything a creator gives you for a job is theirs and confidential: the footage, the brief, the brand, the products. Use it only to do that job. Do not keep it after the job, do not show it to anybody, and do not post it, sample it or reuse it anywhere. You may not put a creator's work in your own portfolio without their written permission.

The finished cut belongs to the creator once the job is approved. You keep no rights in it and you do not need to be credited.

You promise that the work you submit is your own, that you did not copy it, and that any music, footage or graphics you add are licensed for the creator to use.

Do not contact a creator outside the platform about platform work, and do not give them your contact details for that purpose. Do not take a creator you met here to work off platform. This is the one rule that ends an account on the first offence, and earnings tied to the job are cancelled.

UGC Flows owes you the earnings on your ledger that are not held or cancelled, and nothing beyond that. We are not liable for lost income from a job that expired, was cancelled, or was never claimed. You are responsible for any claim that comes from work you submitted.

We can change this agreement. If a change matters, you will be asked to accept the new version before your next claim or payout request. Earnings already on your ledger are not changed by a new version.
